HOW EXCITING THAT THE TORONTO MUSICIAN'S ASSOCIATION  HAS A GRANT FROM THE TORONTO MUSICIANS PERFORMANCE TRUST FUND  TO BRING PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS INTO THE SCHOOLS TO ENHANCE STUDENTS DEVELOPMENT, EXPERIENCE AND CREATIVITY, WITH NO COST TO THE SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES.    IT'S 100% FUNDED

FLY BUTTERFLY

This children's song is also a great resource for preschool-primary teachers and librarians who are teaching about caterpillars and butterflies. Engaging and interactive, children crawl like caterpillars, go to sleep in their cocoon and then grow and fly like a butterfly.

This was performed at a recital, with no prior practice, but encouragement in creative performing arts.  The song came from a session with my french/music student who is in Grade 5, and she contributed to the lyrics, melody, piano improvisation and vocals. What an accomplishment!
